Position Overview: The GSE Maintenance Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing daily operations within their designated team, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met. This role involves mentoring and guiding team members, facilitating communication between staff and management, and implementing best practices to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of 4-8 employees, providing direction and fostering a positive work environment.

* Performance Management: provide constructive feedback and implement development plans for team members.

* Operational Oversight: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, monitor workflow, and address any issues that arise promptly.

* Training and Development: Facilitate training of new hires and continued development for existing staff to enhance skills and knowledge.

* Communication: Act as a liaison between upper management and team members, ensuring clear and effective communication of goals and expectations.

* Reporting: Prepare daily reports on team performance, project progress, and areas for improvement to management.

* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational challenges, implementing solutions that improve team performance and productivity.

* Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to coordinate efforts and achieve overall company objectives.

Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the automotive industry.

* 5-10 years experience in automotive or heavy equipment repair in a professional setting.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to motivate and inspire team members.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook

* Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills:

* Experience in automotive or heavy equipment repair, handling equipment diagnosing and replacement of parts.

* Knowledge of electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and familiar with parts ordering.

* ASE certifications

* Experience with welding
