VACO Atlanta has partnered with a growing and reputable client to hire an experienced and detail-oriented AR Manager Collector. This newly created role will be hands-on collections, primarily dealing with high-complexity accounts over 90 days overdue. The AR Manager Collector will play a pivotal role in investigating and clearing balances while leading the day-to-day operations of the team and streamlining processes to improve overall efficiency.

Comp: $85,000 - $95,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex collections cases that require keen investigation and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the collections team, including scheduling and supervising 5 direct reports.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and document improved collection processes, working closely with the hiring manager to streamline workflows and implement best practices.
  • Navigate multi-party client structures and coordinate with internal teams to resolve collection issues where necessary.
  • Address complex issues around electronic billing and payment applications, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts.

Requirements:
  • Must have prior experience in collections within professional services or the legal industry, with a strong understanding of unique industry complexities.
  • Experience with Aderant or similar legal accounting software (e.g., BillBlast) is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for managing intricate collections.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and clients, often in challenging scenarios.
  • Skilled at balancing hands-on collections work with effective team leadership, process improvement, and documentation.
