Director of Inclusion and Engagement Application review will begin on November 19, 2024, applications received by 11:59pm are guaranteed full consideration. Summary: Reporting to the Associate Dean for Inclusion, Engagement, and International Affairs, the Director supports the School's goals of fostering a diverse and inclusive learning community that is welcoming to all, and maximizing the Pitt Business experience for all of its members. Collaborates with the Pitt Business community, across campus, and with the Pittsburgh community to initiate, facilitate, and implement initiatives to encourage and support an accessible, inclusive, and engaged environment for all members of the Pitt Business community, including students, faculty, and staff. Supports initiatives that engage faculty, staff, students, and community members in advancing the School's priorities related to inclusion and engagement. Collaborates with admissions and advising to ensure effective practices in recruiting, supporting, and retaining a diverse student body. Advises on exemplary and effective approaches to recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse faculty and professional staff. Assists in the execution of inclusion and engagement activities that support the School's goals and priorities. Duties:
Job Summary Develops and drives strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives for the University that result in transformative change. Works across campus and the community to initiate, facilitate, and implement DEI initiatives and the cultivation of work and learning spaces that encourage and support DEI. Develops the necessary strategies to engage faculty, staff, students, and community members in reaching the University's goals. Develops and incorporates inclusion initiatives to recruit a diverse student body and workforce. Oversees the Title IX process on campus and ensures use of best practices and compliance. Essential Functions Supports implementation of strategic inclusion and engagement initiatives for Pitt Business that result in transformative change. Works across campus and the community to initiate, facilitate, and implement initiatives and the cultivation of work and learning spaces that encourage and support an inclusive and accessible environment for diverse domestic and international populations. Develops the necessary strategies to engage faculty, staff, students, and community members in reaching the School's goals. Develops and incorporates inclusion initiatives to recruit a diverse student body and workforce. Serves as liaison in the Title IX process with University Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion ensures use of best practices and compliance. Physical Effort May travel around campus.
