The Department of Radiology is seeking applicants for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position, in the Division of Interventional Radiology at Highlands Ranch Medical Center and Ridgeline Medical Center under the supervision of the Chief of Interventional Radiology. We are open to applicants for the Instructor or Senior Instructor academic ranks. We are a high-volume section and we operate out of Highlands Ranch Hospital and Ridgeline Medical Center. We anticipate adding an additional APP to address an increase in volume due to growth. The APP may also be required to provide cross coverage to Anschutz Medical Center in the future. APPs perform multiple Interventional Radiology Procedures independently including venous access, PleurX placement, fluid drainage procedures, biopsies, joint injections, malignant pain pump management, fluoroscopic tube exchanges. The APP's perform consults and rounding daily. They are part of a vibrant group culture with a collaborative teams-based approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical duties involve primarily the provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical service support as well as both procedural and clinical activities.
- The individual will be trained by the Interventional Radiology physicians and APPs in image guided minor procedures.
- The job will require clinical duties in both the inpatient and outpatient setting including pre-operative H&P, informed consent, patient preparation for procedures, inpatient rounding, family and patient education, admission and discharge from the hospital, and coordination of longitudinal care of Interventional Radiology patients.
- Evenings and weekends are not required for this position.
- This position will involve cross-coverage of Highlands Ranch Hospital and Ridgeline Medical Center.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is in Highlands Ranch, CO with possible future cross coverage at Anschutz Medical campus.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor, based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Instructor Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in NP or meets qualifications for a PA-Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program
- Current Colorado State license by the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Interventional Radiology
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility in daily tasks
- Works well with a team member
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective communication skills with patients, peers, and other specialty faculty
The rank is dependent on a combination of academic accomplishments, career pathway, as well as input from the department's Promotion and Tenure committee. Senior Instructor Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in NP or meets qualifications for a PA-Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program
- Current Colorado State license by the time of hire.
- Prescriptive authority required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Interventional Radiology
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility in daily tasks
- Works well with a team member

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE This is an open-rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor. Salaries are based on years of experience and are equal across all ranks. Rank will be determined during the interview process after discussion between you and the department about your previous experience.
- Instructor - $103,000 - $139,000
- Senior Instructor - $103,000 - $139,000
