About the Job

The Iron Range Professional Engineering Program Coordinator is a key figure in advancing and managing specialized STEM education programs and outreach initiatives in the Iron Range region. The role focuses primarily on program development, curriculum design, outreach, and industry collaboration. The incumbent serves as a key liaison between regional industries, graduate students, SCSE professional programs, and regional colleges to ensure educational offerings meet the evolving needs of the community.

This position emphasizes program and curriculum design as well as outreach; teaching responsibilities will be minimal and will not constitute the majority of the position's duties. The coordinator will provide expert guidance in the design and development of educational initiatives, aligning them with SCSE objectives and regional requirements.

This is a 10-month full time position. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 depending on qualifications and experience. This is a hybrid position with work location in the Iron Range Region.

  • Leverage the role's STEM expertise to provide specialized programming and outreach initiatives that form a significant part of the job's responsibilities. This expertise is key in driving the justification for the educational classification of the position.
  • Collaborate with SCSE's outreach coordinator and local stakeholders to assess outreach initiatives and incorporate feedback into future program development.
  • Drive awareness and participation through comprehensive outreach strategies, including digital marketing, community engagement, and public relations efforts.

Industry Collaboration and Partnerships (20%)

Team Coordination and Collaboration (15%)

  • Coordinate efforts with the Dean's Office and the Outreach Coordinator to ensure alignment with broader SCSE goals and initiatives.
  • Work closely with the MEng Director to manage program operations and achieve programmatic growth and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the Directors of Graduate Studies (DGS) and Department Heads to ensure the remote delivery of graduate curriculum in the Iron Range region meets quality standards.
