Senior Research Analyst, Global Think Tank

Job Description Summary

This position will reside in the Global Think Tank and will report directly to the Head of Americas Insights. The Sr. Research Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of analysis, research and thought leadership for a variety of Cushman & Wakefield service lines and property type leadership groups, including alternatives and practice groups (PG). Specifically, this position provides support for gathering and analyzing data, and interpreting this information to identify trends in the market. Output of the analysis is used to produce research deliverables to be included in thought leadership, pitch and/or proposal materials and reflects various market dynamics. The Senior Analyst is also accountable for accurate and proactive maintenance of proprietary and third-party databases with local market data, as well as pulling data from said systems to support thought leadership and forecast development. The position will serve as quality control auditor to ensure accuracy of reports, data and adherence to corporate standards.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Participates in development of requests for research information including market statistics and analysis for thought leadership, prospecting, pitch, and/or proposal materials
  • Coordinates and fulfils all research requests
  • Ensures research teams are meeting needs of fee-earners
  • Contributes to Think Tank thought leadership
  • Analyzes data, compiles, and writes (or assists in writing) quarterly reports
  • Shares best practices within and across markets, service lines and offices

Key Outputs:

  • Create slide decks and co-author reports for internal and external distribution
  • Deliver defensible, complete and compatible research data and information as needed
  • Work across departments (PG, TDS, Data Excellence, V&A, GOS, etc) to develop key metrics to support the business and produce industry leading thought leadership
  • Automate data collection process, where feasible and possible
  • Leverage and automate use of third-party data, where possible
  • Identify new data sources, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in research, real estate experience preferred
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Business development
  • Experience with Power BI (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with programming (e.g., Python) and APIs (preferred but not required)
  • Team player/collaboration

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
