Position Summary

The Sr. Tax Analyst, US Domestic & Global Provision supports both US provision/global provision consolidation and US tax compliance needs. Responsible for deploying/leveraging tax technology tools in the global provision consolidation. Assists with the quarterly and annual tax provision preparation including estimated annualized tax rate, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, tax controls and other tax accounting tasks. The role is approximately 40% tax accounting, 30% tax compliance, 15% tax technology, and 15% tax research/planning, providing tax support to commercial and operations teams, special projects, and tax controversy.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

* Assist with preparation of income tax provision under ASC 740 and related work papers.
* Assists with preparation and review of US federal and state tax compliance workpapers and proformas.
* Assist with US federal, state and local audits, including communication with tax authorities.
* Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Assist with taxable income projections and forecasts.
* Builds ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) workpapers and confirms data imported reflects correctly in OTP.
* Prepares manual book-tax difference calculation workpapers.
* Prepares deferred roll forward for temporary differences and attributes.
* Prepares FIN 48 reserve calculations.
* Prepares return to provision (RTP) and tax basis balance sheets (TBBS).
* Prepares annualized effective tax rate calculations to ensure appropriate tax forecasting in interim periods.
* Responsible for deploying/leveraging tax technology tools in the global provision consolidation.
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the year.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 3 years of corporate tax and/or public tax experience with emphasis on ASC 740 and US Federal and State tax compliance.
* Strong proficiency with Excel to perform tax functions (Pivot Table, other basic formulas).
* Strong research, communication, and organizational skills.

DESIRED

* Master's degree and/or JD or LLM, with emphasis in taxation.
* Public accounting background, corporate tax, or mix of both.
* CPA or CPA candidate.
* Experience with global tax provision process and consolidation.
* Working knowledge of PeopleSoft ERP software.
* Working knowledge of tax provision and compliance software, primarily OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax.
* Experience with tax research software tools, such as Checkpoint, or CCH
* Complete knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI, PowerQuery, Tableau, and UiPath.
* Experience with indirect tax, including sales and use tax.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
