Job Description

The University of Missouri seeks to hire a dynamic, mission-driven Program/Project Support Coordinator I to support the Center for Influenza and Emerging Infectious Diseases. This position will be located on the 4th floor of Bond Life Sciences Center.

This position will provide project and administrative support to facilitate smooth operations of the Center, to support Dr. Wan and the business manager in the development and management of the Center for Influenza and Emerging Infectious Diseases. The Center will be home to 6+ faculty members with strong research programs. This position will work closely with the business manager to help provide expert program coordination to center personnel and other key stakeholders.

Key Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director, including complex calendar management, scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and preparing and managing correspondence and other documents on behalf of the Director.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, including preparing agendas and booking rooms; creating, distributing, and archiving meeting minutes; and following up on action items. Ensure timely distribution of meeting materials, research documents, and necessary updates prior to meetings.
  • Coordinate conferences and symposium series, including arranging travel, booking venues, creating and distributing seminar announcements and managing the speakers' visits.
  • Coordinate visitors, including travel arrangements, agendas, and escorting as needed.
  • Make purchases and manage payments for the Center, under the supervision of the business manager.
  • Maintain various administrative reports.
  • Coordinate all other Center events, such as celebrations, retreats, and other special events.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position requires reliable, onsite attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Salary Range: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour
