The Position
2025 Summer Intern - Early Clinical Development Informatics - Digital Transformation Office Department Summary Advanced machine learning technologies are increasingly being used to enhance the drug development process. These innovations may bring increased efficiency to clinical trials, but succeeding in this integration requires careful analysis, bold experimentation, and rigorous software development. In this role you will join the gRED Digital Transformation Office's software group to develop software to streamline drug development. You will meet with Clinical Science, Operations, and Informatics stakeholders to understand the wants and needs for high quality datasets and software applications. You will develop these applications which may involve integrating LLM technology. You will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day activities within ECD (Early Clinical Development), while also obtaining a high-level understanding of the execution of clinical trials needed to bring drugs to patients. You will also have an opportunity to get exposure to a range of cross-functional disciplines and across multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, neuroscience, metabolism, infectious disease, and others. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. The Opportunity

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco is $45-$50 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
