- The Vectra AI Solutions Engineer/Architect (for Technology and Cloud Alliances) has the opportunity alongside the brilliant Threat Researchers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Security Product Managers at Vectra AI, as well as alongside their counterparts at Vectra's Tech Alliance Partners (e.g. CrowdStrike, AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc.), and to serve as the bridge between the two.
- This high-impact person will employ their technical creativity and influence skills, helping envision and launch new types of integrated solutions, that combine Vectra's advanced capabilities with those of Vectra's Tech Alliance partners, in ways that best solve customer cyber-defense challenges.
Qualifications:
- Cybersecurity Vendor Experience: Bachelors degree plus minimum of 15 years experience working for 1 or more Cybersecurity Vendors, in a customer-facing and/or technology partner-facing role, as a technical Subject Matter Expert.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of security product categories (EDR, CDR, NDR, Identity Threat Detection and Response, SIEM, SSE) and Security Operation Center (SOC) tools and processes (e.g. Gartner's "SOC Triad"). Ability to comprehend both Vectra's security product capabilities, and those of Vectra's Tech Alliance partners (e.g. CrowdStrike, AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
- Solution Architecting Experience: Demonstrated Creativity, with the ability to envision and launch new types of integrated solutions, that enable real-time threat detection and response across the hybrid attack surface, spanning Cloud Networks, SaaS Applications, On-Premises Networks, Endpoints, Identity Platforms, and Generative AI Platforms.
- Communication and Executive Influence Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, for crafting compelling technology integration proposals to executives at Vectra, and to Vectra's Tech Alliance Partners.
- Security Enthusiast: Passionate about the security landscape with a strong understanding of attacker progression (Red Team/Penetration Testing methodologies) and Incident Response (Blue Team) approaches
- Continuous Learning: Stay at the forefront of the security landscape by maintaining in-depth knowledge of Vectra's product line and industry trends.
- Relationship Builder: Develop and foster strong technical and product executive relationships at alliance partners (e.g. CTO, VP Engineering, Chief Product Officer), to identify new integration opportunities, and to ensure their support.
- Location Preference: within driving distance of Vectra's San Jose Headquarters and/or proximity to Vectra's Tech Alliance partners.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Together with Vectra's VP of Cloud and Tech Alliances, you'll collaborate with both Vectra's Product Management Team and with external Tech Alliance partners, to identify those technology integrations that have the most potential to address customer cyber-defense goals.
- Technical Expertise: In initial meetings with Vectra's tech alliance partners, explain Vectra what Vectra's products do, how they work, and how they might be integrated with partner products, using Vectra's API or other mechanisms.
- Technology and Product Roadmap Alignment: Ensure Tech Alliance Partner product roadmaps are taking into account the capabilities of Vectra AI's products. Likewise, ensure Vectra product roadmaps are taking into account the capabilities of Tech Alliance Partner products. Ensure that technology integrations are not only feasible, but are implemented in a timely fashion, in ways that maximize value for mutual customers, for Vectra, and for Vectra's tech alliance partners.
Experience:
- Startup DNA is a must: willing and able to do "whatever it takes" with motivation to find solutions, rather than merely admire the challenge
- Partner-centric behavior and security partner-facing experience is a must.
- 5+ years demonstrated ability in a Cybersecurity Technical Account Management, Security Architect, or Security Systems Engineering role.
