Clinical Professor

This position is for a clinical faculty member in audiology and includes supervisory and teaching responsibilities within the doctor of audiology program. The UW Speech and Hearing Clinic (UWSHC) is in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The department has an undergraduate program, a master's program in speech-language pathology, Au.D. program, and a Ph.D. program.

The UWSHC is a teaching clinic where graduate students provide service to patients under the guidance and supervision of state-licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologists and audiologists. The UWSHC offers evaluation, treatment, and consultation services for children and adults with speech, language, hearing, and related communication needs.

This position provides student training and client care through the UWSHC as an audiologist. Other duties may include teaching in the area of audiology as needed.

This position is for a short-term clinical faculty member in the department to teach CS&D 891 and/or 892, Clerkship in Audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This is a clinical practicum course for graduate students in audiology. Principal duties will be to train and supervise graduate audiology students within the UW Speech and Hearing Clinic during direct client contact. Further responsibilities include regular evaluation of students to verify clinical skills and may include teaching in the area of audiology as needed. The clinical faculty member will participate in departmental meetings, committees, and events such as student orientation as needed.

Required
Au.D. degree or Ph.D. in the area of audiology

A minimum of three years of experience working in audiology and relevant experience in student supervision is required.

AuD or PhD degree in audiology and CCC-A are required. Candidates must be ASHA certified and state licensed in Wisconsin (or eligible) in audiology.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
