Position Summary Position Summary The University of New Mexico, College of Education and Human Sciences, Department of Teacher Education, Educational Leadership and Policy, invites applications for a tenure-line Assistant Professor in Educational Technology position with a target start date of August 2025 (Academic Year 2025-26). Although the position may commence as early as August 2025, the position shall remain open until filled. The Teacher Education, Educational Leadership and Policy Department is the largest in the college, with both undergraduate and graduate teacher education programs, as well as graduate leadership programs that address K-12 teacher preparation, administration, leadership, and higher education needs. New funding from the state of New Mexico provides an opportunity for an incoming tenure-line Assistant Professor in Educational Technology. Responsibilities The tenure-line faculty will teach undergraduate and graduate level (master's and doctoral) courses in educational technology. In accordance with the department's approved workload policy, tenure-line faculty have a 2/2 teaching load beginning in year 3. In years 1 and 2, tenure-line faculty teach a reduced load of 1/2 or 2/1. Other responsibilities include developing an active research agenda, advising master's and doctoral students specializing in educational technology; chairing and/or serving on theses and doctoral dissertation committees; and contributing to program and college partnership initiatives. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications *Earned doctorate from an accredited university in Educational Technology or a closely related field. *Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence in research in the field of educational technology.
