Derivatives SQL Analyst

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Derivatives SQL Analyst for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and understanding business requirements and deeply analyzing, slicing and dicing data to determine and document patterns and anomalies with the ability to assess whether the provided data meets the business requirements
• Must be comfortable working independently and proactively to coordinate with our internal business teams (customers) and internal data providers to seek clarification and resolution when data provided does not meet the business requirements

Requirements:

• Understanding of derivatives and/or traded products data
• Experience as a data analyst
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and oral/written communication skills
• Comfortable partnering with business, technology teams and other stakeholders to achieve goals
• Ability to communicate findings to stakeholders and tell a story about the data from a business lens
• Intermediate SQL skills and experience
• Intermediate experience working with Microsoft products like Excel, PowerPoint, etc
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Curiosity and thoughtfulness. Digging into the data to find nuggets of information independently and without prompting is a key element for success in this position
• Banking and/or financial services experience
• Have past experience working with derivatives
• Oracle database experience
• SQL Server database experience
• Accounting experience
• Working with teams across multiple geographies
• Financial acumen
• Experience with Axiom Regulatory Reporting solutions
