Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend to new admissions and assess for medical stability.
  • Assessment and Treatment with sick clients.
  • Work closely with members of the nursing team.
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary teams with members of clients' families and other professionals to facilitate meeting the identified goals for clients.
  • Attend and participate in required staff meetings and trainings.
  • Make appropriate filings with the nursing board.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and differences.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people from various socio-economic and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to assess and provide treatment in a variety of settings.
  • Ability to complete job responsibilities autonomously without daily oversight.
  • True team player, not afraid of technology.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree
  • Must be licensed to practice independently in Virginia
  • Experience working with adolescents and young adults preferred
