Manages and is accountable for the operations of the Bed Coordination Center, Transfer Center and Medcom.
- Manages and supports the day to day operations of assigned departments (Bed Coordination Center, Transfer Center, Medcom).
- Bed Coordination Center:Oversight of RNs & administrative clerks who coordinate bed assignments and patient flow for the Medical Center.
- Transfer Center: Oversight of Medics and Paramedics who manage all requests for patient transfer from outside hospitals into UVAUse clinical knowledge appropriate triage incoming patients by transferring diagnosis and care needs in order to determine transfer priority and best-fit Service Line and division for acceptance.
- Medcom: Oversight of EMT-A's, Medics, & Paramedics who Coordinate Pegasus Air/Ground, Medic V, and Newborn Emergency Transport System dispatch, asset following, and communications.
- Develops programs which address continuous quality improvement, system enhancement, streamlined processes and overall performance.
- Demonstrates genuine intention to collaborate with others. Shares information, solicits inputs and develops influential and respectful relationships.
- Encourages development of Team Members through delegation, encouraging input regarding work schedules, process improvement and problem resolution.

Position Compensation Range: $110,697.60 - $147,680.00 Annual
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program required. Master's degree in related field within 5 years of hire. Experience: At least 3 years of progressively more responsible leadership experience as a registered nurse required. Licensure: License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Valid Virginia Driver's license required for managers with responsibility operations in multiple locations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
