Job Function Summary: The Title Coordinator provides Member service by processing a variety of motor vehicle related transactions, including titles, registrations, vehicle ownership transfers, responds to requests regarding complex lien transfers, and general loan information with members. The position requires strong Member service skills and attention to detail in reviewing legal transactions. Note: Due to the daily job tasks involving paper titles, checks, and other sensitive data, the DMV Support Representative will work onsite daily at our Torrance, CA Ops Center. This is a fully in-office position. The anticipated pay range for this role is $21-24hr Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Duties require the employee to maintain knowledge of current and up-to-date regulations for motor vehicle registration, titling and licensing for a wide variety of vehicles.
- Obtain and process all necessary Motor vehicle documentation from UNIFY team members, dealerships, and Members for Depatments of Motor Vehicles to ensure UNIFY is names as a lienholder within all 50 states.
- Assists members and branch personnel with completing Motor vehicle paperwork.
- Performs title release functions within established time frames.
- Maintains pending file for follow-up and receipt of vehicle, boat, RV, and Aircraft titles and performs the appropriate follow-up within established time frames.
- Reviews title for accuracy and updates the designated system and the paperless title system.
- Maintains accuracy rating on title perfection within established department requirements.
- Corresponds with Departments of Motor Vehicles to update changes.
- Ensures that proper funds are received, and correct security is being released when vehicle loans are paid off.
- Provide members with lien satisfied.
- Performs notary services as needed.
- Check in ELT and paper titles
- Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Federal Credit Union Service Standards and the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience, & Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- One years' consumer lending/titles management experience
- Knowledge of Motor vehicle title liens and liens releases within 50 states
- High level of organizational skills and planning is preferred, along with the ability to communicate effectively, particularly in writing; and a proficiency in Symitar, Excel and Word, is preferred.
