Parking and Transportation

Job Summary

Plan, organize and lead the Parking and Transportation Services Department which includes Parking Services, campus shuttle service and roadway traffic signage. Responsible for direction of managers and supervisors for Parking and Transportation Services to enhance productivity and efficiency of processes, programs, and projects. Make recommendations to administration and participate in decision-making processes concerning changes relating to parking and transportation matters in a way that best serves the University community.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and manage employees and programs for Parking and Transportation Services
  • Work closely with university architects, physical plant personnel, engineers, and consultants on major and minor construction projects involving parking lots and roadways to balance university goals with campus community needs
  • Follow all safety and risk management policies in work performance
  • Administer organizational activities, set business strategies, delegate tasks, and recruit managerial employees to implement strategic goals for Parking and Transportation Services
  • Coordinate parking information with university leadership and local officials
  • Develop and implement campus-wide parking options, regulations, and enforcement to support the university's mission
  • Develop and oversee a plan for managing campus parking demands
  • Establish and manage a fair and impartial parking citation appeals system
  • Serve as campus liaison for individuals and organizations coordinating special event parking and charter transportation for various functions
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop plans for implementing a campus transit system as needed
  • Provide public relations support, including educating and resolving conflicts with faculty, staff, students, administration, and visitors regarding department policies and procedures
  • Manage the budget and oversee financial and administrative operations
  • Analyze parking and transportation data, policies, and issues, and identify areas for improvement with input from students, faculty, and staff across various departments and campus groups


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with Five (5) or more years of related work experience OR Associates degree with Seven (7) or more years of a work history


Proposed Salary

$68,369 - $88,934

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
