Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist II to join our logistics team. Under the direct supervision of the Section Supervisor, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations by accurately verifying and counting materials needed to fulfill customer orders. This position will be onsite at our Wheeling facility.



Responsibilities

    Domestic and International Order Fulfillment: Expertly packages and prepares both domestic and international customer orders with a focus on prioritization, ensuring shipments are ready for truck, air, and/or customer pickup following specific delivery or consolidated shipping lists.
  • Proficient Labeling and Handling: Skillfully labels packages, utilizing hand labeling techniques and safely operating equipment such as box cutters, pallet jacks, and tape guns. Ensures the safe and efficient opening, moving, and sealing of boxes while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Accurate Order Picking: Methodically walks through the Receiving and Distribution Center to accurately pick the correct parts/products required to fulfill client orders, maintaining high levels of accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • SAP Utilization: Leverages SAP expertise to virtually pack materials using Hupast and Processweaver systems, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry and inventory management.
  • Pallet Stacking Expertise: Efficiently stacks completed cartons on pallets, arranging them in a stable and secure manner suitable for shipment to prevent damage during transit.
  • Versatile Team Player: Performs a variety of other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to support the warehouse team in achieving operational goals. This may include participating in inventory counts, assisting with inbound receiving, or supporting other departments as needed.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations, demonstrating proficiency in handling semi-routine assignments with minimal supervision and limited judgment required.
  • Physical Capability: Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and the capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs continually throughout the shift.
  • Policy and Procedure Adherence: Quick learner, able to thoroughly understand and apply company policies and procedures to day-to-day tasks with precision.
  • Routine Task Efficiency: Proven ability to follow established protocols for routine work with accuracy, only needing detailed instructions when taking on new assignments.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and adapt to flexible hours as needed, demonstrating commitment to meeting team goals and deadlines.
  • Literacy and Numeracy: Solid basic reading and math skills, essential for understanding instructions, managing inventory, and handling shipping documentation accurately.
  • Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, indicating a foundational level of education.
  • Team Collaboration: Enjoys working within a team environment, showcasing strong interpersonal skills and fostering a cooperative and positive atmosphere among colleagues.
