APRN/PA Extended Hours Care Centers & Primary Care Offices Float

Summary

Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO, is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to float between our Volusia County facilities. This position is 40 hours weekly, with flexible scheduling based on need. Either 5-8-hour days or 4-10-hour days, or 3-12-hour days and 1-4-hour day. There will be a mix of primary care and urgent care.

Qualifications

* Advanced Practitioner / Physician Assistant Florida licensure

* Minimum 3 years' post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination.

* Graduate of an accredited program, APRN, NP, or PA program

* Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.)

* Foreign body removal

* Laceration repair, Suturing skills

* Abscess I & D

* Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures

* DOT Certification required within 30 days

* Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter's physicals, etc.) preferred

* Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (good typing & computer skills)

* Worker's Comp experience preferred

* Great Customer Service and Communication skills with patients and their primary care physicians
