Position Summary Beaumont, TX Long term in plant assignment. Works with in a petrochemical environment, implementing and managing capital appropriation and expenditures. Oversee, project execution from engineering through detail design, procurement, construction and startup. Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, purchasing, deliveries, client thru construction and startup, while maintaining budget cost and schedule constraints. Responsibilities Safely executes capital projects from front-end development (Identify, Assess, Select, & Define phases) to detailed design and construction (Execute phase) including procurement, cost control and schedule management. Coordinates personnel and contractor partners to assure that field activities are completed safetly, on tiem, within budget and in accordance with the design requirements. Oversees engineering execution utilizing either on-site or off-site disciplines/engineering companies. Manages simultaneous projects with competing priorities in various phases on a wide variety of manufacturing processes in the chemical complex. Provide assistance in the estimation and scope definition of projects. Prepare periodic reports to include schedule status, budget status and corrective actions. Interface with the client(s) to review and provide solutions for the maintenance aspects of design. Assist in managing the subcontracting process from bid issuance through completion. Manage scope changes caused by engineering, client or process changes to minimize impact on the project. Schedule maintenance tasks in a variety of process areas and coordinate activities around operational activities. Assure compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS), PSM, local, state, federal and corporate standards. Qualifications A practical working knowledge of refinery/chemical processes, process equipment, and general project procedures is required. Experience implementing and managing captial appropriation & expenditures. 7+ years' experience in Refinery or Petrochemical Plant Engineering is desired. Project management experience is required. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, construction management or technical degree preferred. Demonstrated successful project management experience. Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills with a positive team-oriented attitude. Experience with MOC. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Education Requirements Technical degree preferred, or 15+ years related work experience. MS-Office and knowledge of SAP tasks.
