Scope of Role

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the production planning activities for the facility. The position is also responsible for maintaining effective relationships with business unit leaders, Production Managers, Purchasing Manager and Materials Manager to ensure all planning activities support the organization's business needs, strategic goals and financial plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead production planning efforts for Charlotte facility.
  • Lead capacity evaluation and monitoring for the Charlotte facility.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date forecasts/reorder points for manufactured finished goods requirements utilizing ERP/Best Practices.
  • Production control and support functions where required.
  • Accurate and timely reporting.
  • Lead planning team including establishing and measuring performance goals and training and developing team members.
  • Manage monthly sales/ past due forecast.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement projects related to plant KPIs.
  • Act as a point of contact Customer Service, Sales and Program Manager issues/ inquiries.
  • Perform cost analysis as needed.
  • Utilize Regal Business System (RBS) tools to streamline processes and document processes.
  • Support the implementation of standard processes for production scheduling, material flow, and inventory management.
  • Promote continuous improvement efforts for designated business unit(s) for the materials function.
  • Develop and support metrics at the plant, division, and corporate level.

  • Strong work ethic, including the ability to be self-directed and self-motivated. Demonstrated professionalism, passion, and initiative with projects and tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle proprietary and sensitive information with integrity.
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willing and able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to customer, supplier, and/or other RRX sites, including attendance at off-site meetings, events and professional development conferences or seminars.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field is required.
  • Recognized certification in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system is required.
  • Experience with Data Analytics tools (Power BI) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in durable goods manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant planning and/or purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Demand and Work Environment:

Potential physical demands include but are not limited to: frequent sitting and occasional bending and stooping. Potential sensory demands include but are not limited to: hearing and seeing. Lifting and/or maneuvering of up to 30 pounds without assistance, or heavier loads with the assistance of a lifting device in order to set up test equipment. Must be able to work in a typical manufacturing facility and travel domestically outside facilities which could entail walking, climbing and moving around working equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Majority of time is spent in a general office environment, but regular time will also be spent in a manufacturing production environment where personal protective safety equipment must be worn, and proper safety precautions must be observed.
