Job Description

We are looking to hire a Program Manager - Integrated Project Design to support in order to support our continued growth and customer support. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Global Programs in our Lifecycle Services business unit.

You will be accountable for the execution and coordination of large Integrated Project Design orders in the North American region from "Quote to Cash".

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage internal and external teams from various teams and 3rd party suppliers, to ensure overall alignment to provide a successful project delivery.
  • Ensure completeness of information, identification of projects risks, and subsequent mitigation strategies
  • Responsible for supporting the IPD commercial team in delivering Integrated Project Design orders to achieve financial and market share goals
  • Travel (or arrange support from field groups) to customer sites, industrial plants, key supply and consortium partner locations to support project pursuits and factory acceptance testing as needed.
  • Responsible for controlling overall DCR log, escalations and conflict resolutions across all stakeholders.
  • Provide in depth and advanced knowledge in the complex project pursuits.
  • Ensure clear expectations are set and delivered against with all stakeholders.

Commercial Support Responsibilities:

  • Assist the order pursuit team in reviewing customer specifications and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents
  • Understand the contractual scope of supply and manage change orders, working with the business unit PMs
  • Oversight and approval of invoice timing.
  • Estimate project management and engineering efforts to deliver an integrated project.
  • Generate Request for Quotation (RFQ) Packages in order to solicit contractor bids
  • Manage distributor engagement and relationship with Rockwell related to the IPD order.
  • Identify opportunities to drive cost-efficient solutions to provide Project Management and Engineering support for IPD orders.
  • Review Rockwell proposals, PGR's, and/or DCR's for accuracy of PM and PE scope.

Program Management Responsibilities:

  • Use standards established for project governance and documentation
  • Provide alignment across all PMs supporting the project
  • Implement a communication plan, schedule, and risk tracking for all orders
  • rack hours within the defined business system and monitor deviations from quoted hours for PM and Engr.
  • Hosting internal and external lessons learned called to drive continuous improvements
  • Collect and file signoff acceptance for projects and design reviews

Manufacturing Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Overall single contact for manufacturing activities. Drive actions through business unit project managers
  • Arrange for inspections and startup support as required per project
  • Review and verify drawings and design are in alignment with customer spec to ensure accuracy of the deliverable
  • Monitor and verify completed work for proper documentation and ensure accuracy vs. drawings and contract documentation
  • Provide guidance on needed updates to schematic drawings as part of design review activities
  • Monitor completed work vs. planned work for reconciliation to schedule and tracking reports

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

The Preferred - You May Also Have:

  • 5+ years of Program/Project Management skills, including PMP certification.
  • 5+ years of related installation or job site experience.
  • 5+ years of experience using and applying Automation products in solutions business or in an industrial plant.
  • Experience in areas such as MCCs, variable frequency drives, switchgear, control systems and e-house design
  • Knowledge of project management software (specifically MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.); IFS,SAP, and SharePoint.
  • Basic skills in ACAD
