Temporary Employment Services ( TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions
What You'll Do:


  • Collaborate with Campus Leaders: Work alongside a diverse team from 17 campus units, guiding co-curricular assessment projects that matter. You'll play a key role in crafting meaningful outcomes, aligning goals, supporting data collection, and contributing to insightful reports.



  • Champion Professional Growth: Plan and lead professional development events that empower staff and faculty with the latest assessment skills, nurturing a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

  • Drive Academic Excellence: Partner with the Director on academic assessment initiatives that support continuous improvement and student success.

  • Manage Office Operations with Expertise:


    • Event Coordination: Take charge of planning engaging events, ensuring every detail is in place for a successful experience.

    • Travel and Visitor Support: Arrange seamless travel and accommodations for team members and visitors to keep projects running smoothly.

    • Communications and Outreach: Amplify our office's impact with clear internal communications and support for marketing efforts.

    • Organize and Optimize Office Functions: Take charge of essential administrative tasks that keep our office running smoothly. This includes managing document preparation, maintaining an orderly workspace, and handling vendor logistics (TigerBuy), ensuring everything is in place for efficient and effective operations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 4 years of administrative experience with increasing responsibility.
