ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:



Planning and Budgeting:



  • Aid in the development and periodic update of the company's annual financial plan, including fleet deployment schedule, revenue forecasting, expense and capital budgeting, profit and loss and cash flow forecasting, and reporting of actual results compared to plans.


Performance Measurement and Reporting:



  • In conjunction with operating management, developing meaningful measures of company performance and publishing monthly, quarterly and annual reports in clear and useful formats.


Financial Analysis:



  • Perform analysis of financial matters such as customer profitability assessments, root causes of performance trends
  • Modeling "what if" scenarios for fleet changes or strategic possibilities, etc. in cooperation with the Sr. Director of Finance, the Corporate Controller, and the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, participates in the month end close, identifying trends and areas for follow up.


Personal Characteristics:




* Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as work well with other members of the finance / accounting department and members of management

* Must be an individual possessing high moral character

* Respectful of the confidential nature of the information that will be made available to perform these responsibilities.

* Must follow company protocol and be respectful of levels of authority.

QUALIFICATIONS





  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must have database and spreadsheet proficiency (Access, Excel etc.).
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new applications.




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE





  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • College Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics




PHYSICAL ACTIVITY





  • Work is performed in an office setting.
  • High degree of eye and hand usage with computer monitor and keyboard.
  • Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) required.
  • Stand - 5%
  • Walk - 5%
  • Sit - 90%
  • Lift- up to 25 lbs.




MENTAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS





  • Ability to handle numerous activities at once and complete in a timely manner
  • Work with limited supervision and possess an impeccable attention to detail, excellent customer service and organizational skills required
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in timely manner, gathering and analyzing information skillfully with significant detail
  • Ability to make decisions which have significant impact on the department's credibility, operations, and services
  • Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports
