Department Information Stamps Health Services is an outpatient ambulatory care center that provides health care and health education to students and their spouses/domestic partners. The center is located in a state-of-the-art, 40,000-square-foot facility within the Joseph Brown Whitehead Building, next to our Campus Recreation Center. Stamps Health Services provides care in six areas: Primary care, women's health, Psychiatry, Travel/Immunization/Allergy, Pharmacy, and Diagnostic Services (lab and radiology). Primary Care Clinic is the largest of the clinics at Stamps Health Services and sees approximately 24,000 visits/year.
Job Summary
This Travel, Immune and Allergy Supervisor will provide leadership to the department, have oversight of the immunization compliance program, provide clinical nursing care and education to patients within the scope of the department and by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. This hands-on supervisor will lead this team to effectively and safely provide immunization and allergy injection patient visits and will need to be comfortable with occasionally administering vaccines and allergy injections. Additionally, this role will actively participate in and lead their team to successfully administer our immunization compliance program. This compliance program involves processing incoming student immunization records as well as communicating with students, parents, and other campus partners regarding our immunization requirements. Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Practice safe, effective, and appropriate clinical nursing per department policies and procedures and within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of Georgia. Manage patient flow; perform and document patient assessments, nursing interventions, education, and follow-up treatment and services. Support work of other clinic team members; act as a patient advocate, providing needed information.
Job Duty 2 - Identify patients' learning needs, providing education that meets the physical, psychological, social and cultural needs of the patient. Provide individualized teaching including ongoing evaluation of patient understanding and compliance. Make appropriate modifications in instructional techniques for age-related and individual learning needs. Assist with development of new interventions, tools and methods of teaching. Collaborate with other team members in addressing educational needs of patients.
Job Duty 3 - Hire, develop, and manage assigned nursing staff, collaborate with patients' other health care providers, and act as liaisons between nurses and physicians.
Job Duty 4 - Manage and participate in the immunization compliance program including record processing, responding to student inquiries, and oversight of process.
Job Duty 5 - Demonstrate effective leadership skills and support the department's mission, vision, and values.
Job Duty 6 - Demonstrate and ongoing commitment to professional development.
Job Duty 7 - Maintain current license and participate in clinical and related continuing professional education. Participate in research and performance improvement projects that enhance practice and improve patient care. Assist with the development of new procedures and evaluate effectiveness.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing or Equivalent
Other Required Qualifications Required Certifications, Licenses or Permits: Registered Nurse
Required Experience Two or more years of job-related experience plus one year in a management capacity

Salary range: $86,000.00-$92,000.00 Location: Onsite (Atlanta, GA) Job grade: S7 This is a supervisory position. This position does not have financial responsibilities.
