Regions Hospital is seeking an individual with experience in fundraising and understanding of moves management best practices, including cultivating, soliciting and closing gifts to join our Hospital Foundation. The Major Gifts Development Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 150 -200 major gift prospects and gaining a working knowledge of gift planning. As part of the Foundation team, he/she is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects for the organization. Utilizing experience with donor engagement and cultivation best practices, this person will educate and inform prospective donors about organizational programs and needs, thereby increasing the prospective donor's affinity to the organization. This individual will be responsible for soliciting major gifts of $25,000 and above, securing events sponsorships as well as introducing gift planning for program, endowment and capital support in key service line areas. The Development Officer will help coordinate private receptions hosted by volunteers, collaborate with other fundraising efforts within the Foundation and maintain effective relations with donors, prospects, board members, other volunteers, and the community-at-large. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm some evenings and weekends Required Qualifications:
