Job Description Summary
Full time, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Computer Science

The Department of Engineering, Computing, and Mathematical Sciences includes Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering. It consists of over 40 full-time faculty members serving over 1200 students in a variety of programs.

Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Teach 24 credit hours per contract year
-Service and professional development, broadly defined.
-Regularly update a variety of courses for our undergraduate and graduate computer science programs.
-Conduct research projects with undergraduate and graduate students

The priority closing date is December 1st, 2024, but we will continue to review and accept applications until the position is filled. This tenure-track position would start Fall 2025.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a PhD in Computer Science or related discipline. The candidate must have a passion for teaching a variety of computing science courses to undergraduate and graduate students, and to engage in research related to computer science, particularly Software Engineering, Software Security, Distributed Systems, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence or Virtual/Augmented Reality. The candidate must be an innovative self-starter willing to design, implement, and teach new courses in computer science and to help develop interdisciplinary opportunities between computer science and other fields.
