Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7) Department/Organization: 214231 - Civil Const and Env Engineering Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm Job Summary: The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the PhD or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee. Additional Department Summary: The Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department at The University of Alabama is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral position for research working with Dr. Moradkhani. The position will be embedded in the Center for Complex Hydrosystems Research. The initial appointment will be for one year and upon the availability of funding. Required Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate. Additional qualifications based on assignment. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Candidates with research background in hydrology, civil engineering, geoscience or a closely related field and demonstrated relevant experience in pre-doctoral research will be considered. Skills and Knowledge: Strong programming and scripting capabilities. High performance computing skills. Strong written and verbal communication of research results skills. Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with academics, scientists, practitioners, and students. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in model calibration and validation. Background in statistical analysis and machine learning.
