Sterile Processing Technician 1

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician 1 to join the team. This role will be a Full-time Monday- Friday; rotating weekends Day Shift: 10:00am- 6:30pm.

Sterile Processing Technician 1 Job Responsibilities:

• Investigates problems/concerns and utilizes proactive problem-solving to meet customer needs.
• In collaboration with the OR charge nurse, reviews OR schedules and add-on cases, anticipating needs and/or conflicts with instrumentation, and offers alternative instrumentation as indicated.
• Collaborates with Unit Management and sales representatives to coordinate loaner instrumentation and product evaluation/changes.
• Collects and analyzes data to improve work processes and makes recommendations to resolve problems and facilitate desired outcomes.
• Observes work in progress to ensure that all equipment is fully operational, work areas are clean and orderly, and that proper supply levels are maintained.

Sterile Processing Technician 1 Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: (Monday- Friday; rotating weekends Day Shift: 10:00am- 6:30pm.)
• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: Experience in sterile processing preferred.
