Position Responsibilities
-
- Installs, repairs, maintains, and operates heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and other electromechanical equipment. Works with little or no supervision.
- Performs routine preventative and corrective maintenance to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Designs, installs, and tests HVAC systems for laboratory, administrative, and residential buildings.
- Performs maintenance and repairs on air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers, electromechanical control systems, and other mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoots and solves routine and complex maintenance problems.
- Operates computer controlled building management systems.
- Designs, Troubleshoots, and Programs complex building management systems and electropneumatic control systems.
- Interacts with other trades, scientific staff, and the Laboratory's administration in the performance of his/her duties.
- Performs other mechanical systems maintenance tasks as directed by the Mechanical Services Manager.

Position Requirements
-
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Ten years experience in the area of mechanical systems maintenance and repair, with a strong background in building management systems and controls.
Other: Ability to work independently with little supervision.
