Position Description:

The Alcon team is looking for a talented and motivated intern to join us onsite for next summer at the Fort Worth, TX location. This individual will assist with measuring and tracking the impact of our corporate giving initiatives. In this role, you will help develop and implement key performance metrics, collect and analyze data, and assist in preparing reports on the outcomes of our donations. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in impact measurement and reporting, while contributing to our mission of improving access to eye care through corporate philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Evaluation & Assessment:

  • Conduct regular evaluations of eye care programs and initiatives, assessing their effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with our corporate giving strategy and goals.

  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the impact of donations on key eye health outcomes (e.g., prevalence of preventable blindness, access to treatment, patient outcomes.)

Impact Measurement & Data Collection:

  • Design and implement data collection processes for corporate giving initiatives, including donations, funding for eye health programs, and partnerships with non-profit organizations.

  • Manage systems to track and measure the outcomes of charitable contributions in the eye care sector (e.g., number of individuals served, improvements in access to care, vision outcomes.)

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:

  • Create and maintain dashboards and regular reports that track progress against corporate giving goals, ensuring transparency and accountability.

  • Work with the communications team to develop case studies, impact stories, and other content that showcases the positive impact of our corporate giving in eye care.

We are interested in students from the following majors: Business Administration (Social Impact or Corporate Social Responsibility focused), Data Science, Global Studies/International Relations, Health Policy and Administration, Humanitarian Studies, Public Health (Epidemiology/Data Science Focus) and Statistics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to the internship, and at least one additional semester following your internship. December 2025 graduation date or later.

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree focused on CSR, Social Impact, Public Health or any other related majors within Business school

  • Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0

  • Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)

  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis. Students on an F1 visa with CPT work authorization may be accommodated

  • Ability to commit to a 10-12 weeks summer internship, full time (40 hrs./week) project

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or coursework in impact measurement, program evaluation, or data analysis, preferably within the nonprofit or corporate social responsibility (CSR) sector

  • Familiarity with key metrics and frameworks used in monitoring and evaluation, such as Social Return on Investment (SROI) or logic model

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and data visualization techniques

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data and present findings clearly

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex data into understandable reports and presentations

  • Interest in global health, eye care, or social impact and a passion for contributing to improved access to care

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
