Senior Financial Analyst - Hybrid, Minnetonka, MN preferred (remote considered)

This role will be a key contributor to the Medicare Advantage (MA) benefit planning process. The role will create market intelligence summaries leveraged by Actuary/Underwriting, Product, Finance, and local market leadership during MA benefit planning. The role will be responsible for long-term financial projections supporting MA market geographic expansion opportunities. The role will also report on key industry trends including enrollment, market share, and financial performance.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Minnetonka, MN Hybrid is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Assist in developing and maintaining competitor intelligence reporting supporting Medicare Advantage benefit planning
  • Collaborate and partner closely with Actuarial, Product, and local market team during benefit planning process
  • Develop long-term financial projections supporting the geographic expansion of MA product offerings.
  • Monitor key industry trends including but not limited to enrollment, market share, and financial performance
  • Prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvements
  • Assist in various ad hoc analyses requests from management

Required Qualifications:



  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • 1+ years of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience
  • Experience in MS Excel and other technology tools



Preferred Qualifications:



  • General Database experience
  • Experience using Hyperion Essbase
  • Healthcare experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
