JOB SUMMARY The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist works with the business unit and Corporate EHS staff to support Coterra's workforce safety and environmental stewardship efforts. The incumbent assists the Safety & Environmental Manager in maintaining compliance to Company standards by conducting worksite assessments, training, emergency response and incident analysis. The EHS Specialist can live in the Southeastern region of New Mexico or West Texas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 3-5 years; (3+) years of work experience in a safety or environmental compliance position preferred; Oil and Gas Industry experience preferred TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 50% or more travel. This position requires a valid state issued driver's license, and employees must pass an initial drug and alcohol screening at hire. Required to travel between field sites to perform daily tasks. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND Work is typically performed both indoors and outdoors. Incumbents in this position must be able to physically and legally operate company owned vehicles. Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and climbing. Exposure to conditions such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Employee is required to physically visit areas where actual operations are occurring, such as drilling, completions and production locations. Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing are required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
