New Hampshire state licensure to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is preferred. Any hired candidates who hold a Maine state license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), support will be provided to assist in obtaining a NH license.

Interested in bridging together medical care and behavioral health care? Consider a role as a behavioral health clinician integrated into a Comprehensive Addiction Medicine program. This is a 20-40 hour position with benefits, located at Memorial Primary Care in North Conway, NH. This practice is well versed in integrating behavioral health into the patient experience. They value the partnership with behavioral health clinicians and work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes. Being integrated into a practice reduces stigma for patients, increasing their willingness to participate in care. This position is in person, there is some flexibility for a hybrid model.

The clinician's role includes providing screening, assessments, and focused brief group and individual treatment to patients of the addiction medicine program. Additional functions of the role include providing curbside consultation to providers, linking patients to additional services and supports, and participating in population health activities that targets the health and wellbeing of specific groups of people.

This position will be a generalistmaster's level mental health Clinician with interest, training and/or experience integrating mental health services into the primary care setting. This position will be placed in primary care practices, work with adults, families and children; and provide assessment, screening, and referral services. Additionally, brief individual therapy, prevention and educational services will be provided and include collaborative work with primary care physicians and their office staff, psychiatrists and other behavioral health providers.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Master's Degree in Social Work/Clinical Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work/Counselor Education required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) preferred, or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor by exception. Valid Driver's license required.
  3. Experience: Two years of relevant experience in a health or mental health setting preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:Knowledge of community resources and agencies.
