Penetration Tester, Lead

As a network exploitation professional, you know that understanding the adversaries' tactics, techniques, and procedures is crucial to producing the intel that enables the success of mission owners. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Penetration Tester to join our team. This is a hands-on and highly technical role. The ideal candidate willhave experience scoping, leading, and performing red teaming,penetration testing, and product security engagements.You will be using a combination of automated tools and manual testing techniques to identify, exploit, and document weaknesses and vulnerabilities in networks, systems, web applications, and other hardware and software products. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You'll Work on:

  • Conduct red teaming, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments against various networks, device types, web applications, APIs, mobile applications, and software programs

  • Perform code review to understand control flow and identify security weaknesses

  • Lead and participate in engagements while coordinating with team members, vendors, and partners to demonstrate proof-of-concept exploitation of discovered vulnerabilities

  • Identify and establish methods to scale the team's infrastructure, tooling, and procedures to include the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence concepts

  • Thoroughly document identified vulnerabilities to ensure clients and vendors can effectively patch or perform remediation

  • Continually research TTPs of advanced persistent threat (APT) actors and employ novel concepts during engagements

  • Effectively manage time and resources across multiple concurrent efforts

  • Provide both subject matter expertise and project management experience to serve as the "point person" for engagements

  • Lead scoping discussions with internal and external stakeholders

  • Present findings to key stakeholders and clients to include both technical and non-technical audiences

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a team and project lead role

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP for infrastructure deployment and configuration

  • Experienceautomating simple tasks using Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, or PowerShell

  • Experience in tools used for social engineering, wireless, web application, API, Active Directory, and network security testing

  • Knowledge in CNE, network penetration testing, red teaming, application security testing, covert communications, encryption mechanisms, and network protocols

  • Knowledge of APT actor TTPs, and ability to emulate adversary activities

  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows, and Mac operating systems

  • Ability to develop, extend, or modify exploits written in Java, .NET, or C#

  • Bachelor's degree

  • OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, GRTP, or GXPN Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience communicating highly technical content to a varied audience, including senior leadership, clients, or project managers

  • Ability to reverse engineer malware

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
