This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Hillcrest and remote. The Community Psychiatry Research Center (CPRC) has a collaborative partnership between the Department of Psychiatry in the Health Sciences System at the University of California, San Diego and the County of San Diego's Behavioral Health Services (BHS) department. The CPRC is dedicated to improving the lives of underserved individuals who receive mental health services in public sector systems of care in San Diego County by conducting research into social determinants of mental health (SDoH), developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative mental health services, as well as training and educating a mental health workforce dedicated to serving this population. Under supervision of the Community Psychiatry Research Center Director, the Psychiatry Research Analyst supports clinical research and data collection and analysis efforts related to the evaluation of public sector mental health systems of care in the following areas: health disparities and equity, service utilization, early intervention, crisis stabilization and suicide prevention, precision medicine and treatment optimization, and workforce development and retention within the Department of Psychiatry. The primary duty will be to support all steps of research including using Kuali Research, submitting IRBs, collecting data from participants, cleaning and managing datasets, conducting data analyses and manuscript writing, provide administrative support to the Center Director, and lead coordination efforts on various research projects. The incumbent will support the psychiatric providers and other staff, and frequently collaborate and interact with the Community Psychiatry Research Center Director, Community Psychiatry faculty and leadership staff, and the General Psychiatry Division Chief. Duties also include maintenance of accurate and complete clinical research files; updating study databases, and ensuring compliance with standardized protocols. The incumbent will also perform other duties as needed including assisting with annual IRB and grant reporting, as well as directly communicating with assigned physicians and administrative groups, including for coordination and scheduling of research-related meetings. Other duties may also include: grant writing and IRB submission support; recruitment and retention of research subjects; coordinating subject appointments with facilities and staff; data collection, tracking patient outcomes, including symptom reduction, functional improvement, quality of life, and utilization. Responsibilities could also include administering diagnostic interviews, acquiring confidential and sensitive information including medical/mental health history, utilizing analytics based on electronic medical records and technology-based behavioral assessment tools, and assisting with other project and miscellaneous duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
