Minimum base pay: $20.90/hr

Shift: 2nd shift, 3pm - 12:30am (3pm - 11:30pm on Friday) - training will be required on 1st shift for average of 6 weeks.

This position is responsible for working with small hand tools, fixtures and arbor presses to assemble precision electronic/electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies.

Essential Functions

  • Work with small hand tools, fixtures and arbor presses
  • Assembles various precision electronic/electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems
  • Works from operation sheets, blueprints, oral and written instructions to insure proper assembly of parts.
  • Attend solder certification and recertification classes
  • Mark units as prescribed and maintain serialization
  • Repair own work as necessary
  • Use precision gauges and test equipment to determine mechanical and electrical characteristics
  • Perform work using 3x and 10x magnification
  • Mix epoxy cements and cleaning solutions, using precision scales
  • Occasional light to moderate lifting - 10-20 pounds

Required Skills:

  • Job entails working with small parts/components, good manual dexterity is required
  • Must be able to solder close tolerance connections, solder experience or certification desired
  • Pass annual eye exam which requires 20/20 vision with corrective lenses

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year assembly experience preferred - manual mechanical assembly experience preferred or 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment as a machine operator.
