Seeking a talented and experienced leader to fill the role of Director of Implementations. In this position, you will lead a team of individuals who are responsible for developing and executing comprehensive programs and services within our clinical operation. You will collaborate directly with Executive Leadership, including Product, Operations, and Technology, to ensure the successful implementation of new product offerings.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead and provide strategic management to a team dedicated to coordinating the design and implementation of new product offerings
  • Develop and execute a clear planning strategy for operational design and execution of products, using a fact-based approach and supporting an agile business model
  • Identify, drive, and lead the deployment of new operational solutions that deliver benefits such as SG&A reduction, cost avoidance, revenue generation, affordability, etc.
  • Set priorities and demonstrate sound judgment in handling complex situations
  • Act as a key liaison between the executive leadership team and operational partners
  • Execute on initiatives, ensuring consistency in outcomes. Translate business initiatives into clear objectives for the team and deliver sustained performance to goal
  • Engage business leaders to proactively identify and manage escalations and strategic issue/risk mitigation
  • Strategically balance clinical and business priorities to provide recommendations on solutions, implementation timing, and capacity planning
  • Develop and implement a global communication strategy, creating program artifacts, and coordinating training for new initiatives
  • Lead successful change management efforts and promote the adoption of innovation throughout the business
  • Consult with Executive Leadership and business stakeholders to review and offer recommendations for future development and roadmap opportunities
  • Lead and support the professional development of the team members, coaching, motivating, and providing guidance to help them excel in their roles
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, ensuring a supportive and inclusive work environment
  • Provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations to team members, recognizing their achievements and addressing areas for improvement
  • Hire, and onboard top talent to the team, ensuring the right skills and capabilities are in place
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team, encouraging professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications:



  • 4+ years of hands-on product development, product re-design/enhancement experience in the healthcare industry, including implementation of products in a large operation
  • Experience in developing program artifacts, including use cases, project plans, executive summaries, staffing analysis, financial assessments, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of medical and behavioral health operations
  • Solid background in process improvement with demonstrated experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
  • Demonstrated ability to think innovatively and optimize the healthcare system
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated solid financial acumen
  • Proven excellent presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and communicate complex data to executive teams, including leaders at the C-Suite level
  • Proven track record of effective communication and strategic consulting skills to collaborate effectively and build solid relationships across a matrixed organization
  • Proven experience in a leadership role. two years of managing staff performance, productivity, and development
  • Proven solid coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and empower team members to achieve their full potential
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Proven exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of effectively handling complex situations and managing priorities
  • Proven solid strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business goals
  • Proven track record in operational design and execution, driving continuous improvement and delivering results
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading change management efforts within a team or organization



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certification in Project Management
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Extensive experience in the healthcare industry
  • Solid background in healthcare practice management or operations management
  • Proficiency in business writing, including experience with RFPs (Request for Proposals)
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Proven solid business acumen, balancing clinical and business priorities to drive successful outcomes
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to analyze, monitor, and create solutions using data
  • Proven ability to synthesize data, measure and communicate performance of individuals, teams, programs, &/or projects in business reviews
  • Proven commitment to professional development and staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in people leadership

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
