Job Responsibilities
  • Work with engineering teams, and vendors in the design, procurement and construction of such assets.
  • Develop & implement standards to drive best practices in regards to the safe installation, repair, or maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate contractor's field efforts to verify compliance with piping and mechanical specifications.
  • Communicate in writing and orally with his/her team, General Contractor, Subcontractors, Vendors, Engineers, and Owner and Owner's representative.
  • Understand and work in accordance with the overall project schedule and budget.
  • Work together with project supervision on a daily basis to communicate production goals and quality specifications of work, discuss issues that have surfaced (around people, means and methods, material or equipment use, etc. extra or out of scope work), and ideas to help team achieve project goals.
  • Participate in planning means and methods.
  • Ensure Foremen have accurately recorded and reported crews work hours and quantities installed. Monitor and manage crew productivity. Ensure ongoing efforts are made to improve productivity.
  • Analyze production results and establish appropriate corrective actions, if required.
  • When rework is required, help team learn from any mistakes and accurately record costs.
  • Forecast equipment or work force needs as required; Help ensure all the resources for crew's activities are available when needed.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum ten years construction experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials of construction, equipment fabrication, and failure analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be organized and able to follow through on outstanding items.
