Purpose: To lead our Team Sales Regional Account team by driving profitable business growth with our adidas team dealer accounts and our club, high school and collegiate partners.

Key Accountabilities (List the 5-10 major areas of responsibility for role):




  • Serve as a People Leader, working with the support of the Director of Team Sales to carry out team leadership responsibilities including: hiring, training, performance assessments, coaching, and mentoring for a team of national sales reps.



  • Responsible for territory financial management: sales volume forecasting, profit, cancellations/returns, and promotional/marketing budgets.



  • Drive territory growth and profitability by assessing and building on areas of momentum, capitalize on product/pricing opportunities and innovative sales tactics to improve sales performance



  • Establish and develop relationships with key account personnel in order in influence and execute strategic direction



  • Establish and develop strong collaborative relationships with all internal departments (i.e. Merchandising, Account Operations, Credit/Claims, Sales Development, Finance, etc)



  • Collaborate with the Director of Team Sales on the development of sales programs, strategies and internal operations and policies



  • Collaborate with Senior Manager of Team Sales - National Account counterpart to align strategies, drive efficiency and contribute to an inclusive team culture



  • Drive High School, Club and Collegiate acquisition strategy



  • Work with Director of Team Sales to prepare team for Go to Market milestones



  • Attend Go to Market milestone meetings and applicable market expos and conventions



  • Manage expenses within assigned budget.

  • Strong presentation skills. Ability to understand and incorporate all levels of brand marketing plans and ideals in to presentations



  • Strong problem-solving ability. Able to develop solutions to situations before and as they arise. Anticipates issues and devise "suggested" solutions before proceeding.



  • Ability to build relationships founded in respect, trust and inclusivity



  • Ability to diplomatically fight for the brand to create win-win resolution with retailers.



  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work in an autonomous environment



  • Knowledge of sales processes, procedures and policies.



  • A strong understanding of Sporting Goods Retail and/or Team Sales



  • Technical proficiency with MS applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).



  • Ability to lift and carry samples and bags weighing up to 25 lbs.



  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.



  • Passion for sport.





Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):



  • BS/BA with 8 years of industry specific sales experience with strong organizational skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills
  • 2 years of key account sales experience
  • Experience managing a team
  • Combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for a degree
