WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Siloam Springs, AR plant, you will be a Mechanical/RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) Engineer.
As an RCM Engineer, you will provide technical support to specific production departments for equipment and designated projects. This role will guide activities that develop people, improve customer satisfaction, and implement innovative solutions to problems and/or process issues for manufacturing value streams
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
  • Lead scrap reduction initiatives within assigned value streams to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Drive cost reduction efforts by identifying and implementing process improvements in designated value streams.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for assigned plant processes, providing insights and technical expertise.
  • Plan, organize, and present data collection efforts related to defect reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide advisory support to maintenance teams in troubleshooting and diagnosing production equipment issues.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic upgrade plans for existing equipment to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of work standards, quality control systems, and operational excellence frameworks to support plant-wide improvements.
ABOUT YOU
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a minimum of 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in problem-solving and progressively increasing responsibility in driving improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment; experience with rubber or plastic products is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement continuous improvement projects through hands-on engagement at the production floor level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of automotive quality systems such as APQP, PPAP, Gage R&R, Process Capability, and Manufacturing Feasibility Studies.
  • Familiarity with various quality tools and standards, including Gage R&R, Capability Analysis, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Process Control Plans (PCP).
  • Strong understanding of Six Sigma principles and project management methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and their practical application.
  • Proficient project management skills, including the use of Gantt charts for planning and execution.
  • Experience with simulation software such as ARENA or similar tools.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in time and motion studies, as well as capacity evaluation.
  • Proficiency in 2D layout design using CAD software.
  • Hands-on experience with Minitab Statistical Software or similar tools.
  • Strong data-driven problem-solving abilities with the capability to develop and maintain critical performance metrics for assigned value streams.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
