The Neurology Education Coordinator(s) work(s) in conjunction with the Residency and Fellowship Program Directors, Associate Program Directors and Chairman of the Department of Neurology on recruitment initiatives, coordination of educational experiences, adhering to ACGME/LCME/UCNS regulations and ensuring smooth operations of a 40 person residency program and 15-18 person fellowship program. The Coordinators also provide independent complex administrative support for the Undergraduate Education Program

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates Graduate Medical Education program logistics in the department. Completes necessary paperwork and coordinates training for 40 residents and up to 18 fellows.
  • Assists in ensuring that the residency and fellowship programs meets ACGME/UCNS requirements and standards in order to maintain accreditation.
  • Entry and maintenance of resident data in online accreditation sites such as ACGME, ABPN Folios, or others as requested.
  • Coordinates and arranges all prospective resident and fellow interviews. Invites and schedules applicants in ERAS, develops and coordinates daily itineraries, advises applicants regarding questions that arise, ensures confidentiality and maintenance of applicant files and prepares all information packets for interview days and rank meetings. Responsible for all day-of-interview arrangements and coordination, including pre-interview dinner with residents and day-of-interview catering.
  • Works with Clerkship Director in the implementation of policies and procedures for the Undergraduate Education Program.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelorrsquo;s degree Required. Masterrsquo;s Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in education field preferred.
