The Shipping Planner is responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving supplies and goods. Performs all task involved in the production of Pregis products as assigned by the Logistic Supervisor and/or Lead. The Shipping Planner follows stand work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible to support the production goals and corporate values of Pregis.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities



  • Keep Shipping-Logistics Supervisor updated daily on pending orders or any issues.
  • Ensure to keep Tulsa Shipping in copy on all email correspondence related to shipping planning for Team visibility.
  • Monitor emails and respond to requests of shipping inquiries on past or future orders.
  • Plan Small Parts Orders via UPS Ground shipment manager & FEDEX shipment manager using Express, Ground or Less Than Load (LTL) as populated daily in SAP.
  • Planning small parts order and Target/FIT/MINI PAKR retail repair orders.
  • Planning of Less Than Load (LTL) order of palletized parts or machine orders via Coyote Portal.
  • LTL orders sent to Coyote daily before 2pm to secure same day pick up.
  • VL10A will populate all orders by goods issue date.
  • Use the proper variant to filter STO or Sales Orders.
  • Print Pick Ticket to distribute to Packaging Shipping Clerk to deliver to the Inventory Team.
  • Update delivery with serial numbers or batch numbers as needed.
  • Prepare International documentation Customer Invoices/Pro-Forma Invoices as required for each shipment.
  • Daily the Planner as coordinated by the Logistics Supervisor, may need to work OT to complete FEDEX Express pick up.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to use or willingness to train on UPS/FEDEX shipment portal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs
  • Ability to successfully navigate multiple computer applications and screens.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math aptitude
  • Sound organizational skills, managing priorities, and utilizing all available resources to complete duties and tasks within time limit allotted.

  • Exposure to moving equipment
  • Inside work
  • Heat may exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Humidity may exceed 80%
  • Noise may exceed 85dB+



Physical Characteristics



  • Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75%
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Frequent typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice- assisted as needed

Education and Experience



  • High School diploma or equivalent required


  • Minimum 2-year manufacturing preferred
