The Enterprise Data Scientist is responsible for advanced analytics applying statistical, mathematical, and computational models to diverse datasets to solve clinical and business problems and identify breakthrough opportunities. This position is responsible for performing sophisticated data analytics by designing, developing, and deploying quantitative models and other analytics tools. The Enterprise Data Scientist will collaborate with operational and other data consumers across VCU Health to identify their complex business problems and provide actionable insights with the overarching goal of improving clinical and financial outcomes. Patient Population: N/A Employment Qualifications Required Education: Master's degree in applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field required. Preferred Education: PhD in quantitative field Licensing/ Certification Licensure/Certification Required: N/A Licensure/Certification Preferred: N/A Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience: 7+ years' experience in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence tools and technologies required. 7+ years' experience in Python or R and SQL required. 5+ years' experience in Healthcare environment Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Experience working with unstructured data and big data is required. Experience working with one of the opensource ML libraries/frameworks -PyTorch/TensorFlow/Keras/Numpy required. Experience with Foundation models, fine-tuning or RAG required. Knowledge of Data Management, BI, Data Warehousing, ETL and Data Governance concepts preferred. Experience working with Cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP required.
