Peoria's City Clerk's Office has an excellent opportunity for a Public Records Coordinator who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the City of Peoria's public records request process under the direction of the City Clerk. This role ensures compliance with state laws and city policies related to records retention and public disclosure. The coordinator provides responsive, transparent, and customer-focused services to the public, city departments, and external agencies, including reviewing records, redacting confidential information, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Other Requirements

click hereEducation: Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, legal studies, or related field.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in public records request processing or records management, or Additional work experience in records management or a related area in excess of the three (3) year requirement may be considered on a year-for-year basis to substitute for education.

Licenses and Certifications/Special Requirements:



  • Knowledge of Arizona Public Records Law (ARS *39-121 et seq.) and related federal, state, and local regulations.


Preferred / Desirable Qualifications:



  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with records management software and systems, particularly in a municipal setting.
