Logistics Project Engineering Staff Specialist

About the Role:
This is an engineering project management role within the Logistics, Test, and Evaluation (LT&E) organization. The Logistics Project Engineering (LPE) lead manages projects relating to Army wheeled and tracked vehicle Technical Manuals (TMs), Logistics Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Training, and Test Support.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget of Logistics projects, specifically Army Technical Manuals, animation development, maintenance app and tablet support
  • Communicate with project team and internal stakeholders, including engineering and program office
  • Communicate with customer, representing GDLS in meetings and milestone reviews
  • Oversee bids and proposals, providing guidance to the LT&E estimating teams
  • Monitor project performance, including schedule and budget metrics and resource allocations
  • Interface with engineering to understand the technical details of tracked/wheeled vehicle projects
  • Lead problem solving efforts to address project issues and risks

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in required
  • 5-7 years of experience in Defense industry, preferably in Project Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable leading meetings and project teams
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of Army Technical Manuals, maintenance applications
