We Require
Five years of administrative experience in a court or legal environment High school diploma or GED Post-secondary education may substitute for two years of the experience requirement on a year-for year basis

Responsible for the supervision of a large number of para-professional staff to ensure optimal services are provided to support the Court; assist with the hiring process, new employee orientation, and training for new Courtroom Clerks; provide continuous job training Develop individual performance plans and monitor and evaluate performance by auditing various work products, statistical reports, and Courtroom visits Evaluate the effectiveness of departmental policies and procedures and implement revisions as needed Interpret statutes, Court rules, and Court procedures and develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with same; communicate and coordinate to implement procedural changes with Courtroom Clerk staff, judicial staff, internal and external departments, and agencies Work with senior management on projects that contribute to the goals and objectives set forth in the mission, vision, and value statement of the Clerk's Office, including compiling and analyzing statistical information used for project planning, recourse Work with senior management on projects that contribute to the goals and objectives set forth in the mission, vision, and value statement of the Clerk's Office, including compiling and analyzing statistical information used for project planning, recourse Resolve non-routine issues and/or situations that arise on a daily basis.Perform research and make decisions of a high degree of difficulty due to the complexity or uniqueness of the situation or request Work with senior management on projects that contribute to the goals and objectives set forth in the mission, vision, and value statement of the Clerk's Office, including compiling and analyzing statistical information used for project planning, resource management, and budget projections
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office setting in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with frequent stressful situations Requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities Ability to frequently ascend and descend 1-3 steps to the work area, with or without accommodation Ability to travel to and from various job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business Must possess, or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid Arizona driver's license
