** Starting salary is based on minimum education and years of experience and increases based on education and/or experience.

Overview

Are you a passionate hardware engineer looking to work on cutting-edge technology? Do you thrive in designing and optimizing high-performance computing systems? We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer with expertise in Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and embedded hardware development to join our innovative team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced hardware solutions, ensuring seamless integration with software systems. You will work with ModelSim for VHDL/Verilog coding and simulations, leverage Xilinx tools, and contribute to the development of high-speed, reliable computing architectures.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.



Responsibilities

    Design, develop, and optimize FPGA-based hardware solutions for high-performance applications.
  • Utilize ModelSim for VHDL/Verilog coding and simulations to validate hardware functionality.
  • Work with Xilinx tools to implement and test FPGA designs.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
  • Conduct hardware testing, debugging, and performance optimization to meet project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, design specifications, and testing procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging hardware technologies and industry best practices.


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Seven (7) to twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering or a related discipline.
    • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
  • Experienced hardware or software engineer.
  • Knowledge of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
  • Familiarity with ModelSim for HDL simulation and Xilinx tools.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in software languages (Java, C, C++, Ruby on Rails) and operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows).
