Salary Pay Range for This Position:

$78,100.00 - $117,200.00

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include completing activities as assigned/requested by the Vice President, Consumer Lending related to: Wescom's Loan Participation and Whole Loan Sale programs, developing policies and procedures for new products, modifying and improving existing products, policies and procedures, improved risk management, compliance, and streamlining the consumer lending operation.

Provide specialized training and coaching for the branches, internal departments, and staff members where system advancements or product improvements are required. Is a special liaison with the IT (including Programming, Computer Operations, Server Administration), credit reporting agencies, and third-party vendors. Act as project manager on various Consumer Lending projects when requested to do so.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

Evaluates work processes of the Consumer Lending areas (Consumer Lending, DMV, CPI) departments and branch/MSC loan processes and develops modifications to reduce processing time and improve productivity. Recommends and assists in the development of policies and procedures for new and existing products.

Develops software specifications, consumer loan policies and procedures and Operations Bulletins for new products and changes to existing products. Issues monthly consumer loan rate sheets.

Acts as a corporate liaison. Is a Symitar system expert that can deliver demonstrations, provide training and coaching, and behind the scenes development and enhancements.

Provides information and analysis of current automated lending systems and participates in the evaluation and implementation of new lending systems and modifications to existing systems.

Assists with the monitoring and validation of the automated lending system performance, including evaluating and revising criteria and policies related to credit scoring, review rules, credit limit tales, risk based pricing, overrides, exceptions, etc.

Provides reports and ensures accuracy of reporting of the Consumer Loan products and portfolio analysis as requested by the Vice President of Consumer Lending.

Acts as Loan Support for branches, Member Service Center and Consumer Lending.

Assists in managing the Consumer Lending Programming Queue to ensure priorities and hours are allocated appropriately.

Acts as a liaison with Legal Counsel for the development or modification of Consumer Loans terms and conditions and/or process changes.

Prepares periodic and on-going consumer loan pre-approval criteria for Vice President's approval and submits related work orders to IT and the appropriate credit bureaus. Validate the pre-approval output, track, and evaluate results.

Supervises testing of new loan and system software releases. Communicates changes to the departments and branches. Revises and communicates changes in loan processing and account maintenance procedures.

Provides technical support related to credit bureau reporting, credit scoring, etc. Is the liaison with credit bureaus and IS for compliance issues and validation.

Evaluates the loan portfolios of any prospective merger partners. Participates in developing conversion specification, testing, and validating converted data.

OTHER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Oversee Wescom's Loan Participation and Whole Loan Sale Programs; prepares, validates and maintains Wescom's existing and future loan participation and whole loan sale pools.

Prepares and remits periodic reports to participating vendors/financial institutions in a timely manner.

Evaluates, tests, and implements new software releases.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree preferred, minimum of 5 years of lending experience in a financial institution required.

Knowledge of Lending Regulations and previous banking/financial industry experience is essential.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Good communication skills, both written and oral, detailed oriented with good problem-solving abilities, good organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, innovative, self-starter, good financial analysis skills, ability to work with and motivate others, and professional conduct and appearance.

Experience working with and development of credit scoring models, experience with automated lending systems/tools, and detailed knowledge of credit bureau reporting processes.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).

Must be an expert with the Symitar system.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
