Job SummaryThe Group Leader provides direct daily guidance to 10-20 associates regarding the day-to-day packaging operations. Ensures department associates adhere to all cGMP and quality standards by following WI, SOPs, and Master Batch Records. Has a thorough understanding of the entire packaging process and associated batch records.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day direction of 10-20 associates in the packaging area Coordinates scheduling by working closely with other departments (quality assurance, warehouse, engineering, validation, production planning, etc) and direct manager Responsible for all packaging day-to-day operations and is proficient in all areas of responsibility. Capable of performing set-up, operating, and monitoring of all equipment. Performs operations necessary to make minor adjustments / repairs to packaging equipment Proficient at completing all documentation in a timely and cGMP manner Initiates work orders to maintain equipment and facilities Conducts all operations in a safe and compliant manner Trains new and/or existing employees on all aspects of responsibility and continuously trains all personnel on SOP changes. Maintains training compliance for all associates in area of responsibility Coordinates finished goods, IPC, validation, etc sampling and delivery to the laboratory Communicates early to supervisor on potential issues that impact scheduling and production Coordinates routine cleaning and PMs of all packaging equipment and area Collects and tracks production data on a daily basis Performs / coordinates line checks and line clearance activities Identifies, coordinates and completes continuous improvement projects in area of responsibility Completes SAP transactions Assists with investigations for area of responsibility Reconciles and reviews batch records Assumes other duties and responsibilities as directed by manager * All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities MANAGEMENT SCOPE Manages, mentors and coaches 4 or more employees.
